New Horizons is excited to offer several scholarship and grant opportunities for students in San Antonio interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology.
NEW HORIZONS I.T. PRESIDENT’S SCHOLARSHIP
The New Horizon’s President’s Scholarship was created to recognize students with an aptitude for technology who will excel in IT careers. This scholarship is awarded to highly deserving students that possess a passion for the IT field, demonstrated problem-solving skills and are highly motivated to pursue a career in technology. Recipients will be recognized by New Horizon President Jamie Fiely and will have the distinction of becoming New Horizons Ambassadors. Students must be nominated by a teacher, counselor or community member and all applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
– Minimum of a cumulative 3.5 GPA
– High interest in pursuing a career in IT
– Have successfully taken an IT course in High School
– Involved in at least one extracurricular activity in High School
The New Horizons Academic Scholarship is designed for high school seniors that show an aptitude for technology. Ideal candidates have a solid academic record and are seeking an alternative to a four-year college program that will provide hands-on training for a successful career in IT. Applications are open to all students and will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
– Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA
– Have successfully completed an IT related course in High School or demonstrates a strong interest in IT occupations
The New Horizons Fast Tech IT scholarship provides an opportunity for students to immediately pursue a career in IT with an accelerated training program. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who is enthusiastic about technology and motivated to succeed. Scholarship recipients will be determined by an application review and career consultant interview.
Our grant program places emphasis on the student’s determination to succeed and doesn’t just look at the academic record and test scores. Our grant recipients have demonstrated a passion for higher technology and ambition in their quest for a high tech career.
